FAQ

Bali Phinisi Diving — Common Questions

Are your dive instructors certified?
Yes — all dive guides on multi-day charters are PADI-certified divemaster minimum. Instructors for OWD/AOWD courses are PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. We can also accommodate SSI, RAID, and SDI certifications upon request.
Can I bring my own dive instructor?
Yes — common with private guests doing photography or technical diving trips. They get a guest cabin and meals included. Provide their PADI cert details 14 days prior so we can clear them with our insurance.
Is Nitrox available?
Available on premium vessels (5+ cabin phinisi). +IDR 250K per fill. Bring your Nitrox cert for verification. Standard recreational mixes (32%, 36%) available; trimix on advance request only.
What’s the best season for diving Komodo from Bali?
May–November is peak season. Manta aggregations May–Nov at Manta Alley. Whale shark sightings in Sape Strait peak Mar–Jun. Visibility 25–35m typical in dry season. Wet season (Dec–Apr) has reduced viz but lower demand and prices.
How do I book a dive-focused charter?
Tell us your cert level (OWD, AOWD, dive master), preferred sites (manta, sharks, walls, macro), and approximate trip length. We match you to a vessel with suitable dive ops + recommend a route. WhatsApp +62 811-380-9193 with cert details.
Are there shared dive liveaboards from Bali?
No — all our charters are private. Shared dive liveaboards do exist in the Indonesian market (around USD 250–450 per person per night for Komodo, USD 400–700 for Raja Ampat) but consistency varies wildly between operators. We focus on private charter quality.
