Every Bali day cruise follows the same proven structure — but the route flexes to weather, swell, and your preferences. Captain decides on the morning of based on conditions.
Hotel Pickup
8:00am pickup from your Bali hotel or villa (Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud, Sanur, Nusa Dua). Air-conditioned vehicle, max 30 min to Benoa Harbor.
Welcome Aboard
8:30am board the phinisi. Captain briefing, safety walkthrough, and welcome coconut. Crew of 5–8 Indonesian sailors and one English-speaking host.
Morning Snorkel Stops
9:30am sail to Nusa Penida. Manta Point (May–Oct) or Crystal Bay (year-round). Reef-safe sunscreen, masks, fins, and snorkels provided.
Lunch Aboard
1:00pm fresh seafood BBQ on deck — mahi-mahi, prawns, vegetables, fruit, water. Chef accommodates dietary preferences notified 48hr in advance.
Afternoon Beach
2:30pm tender ashore at Toya Pakeh or Kelingking beach. 90 minutes to swim, photograph the cliffs, or stay aboard for napping.
Sunset Return
5:30pm sail back to Benoa. Sunset cocktails on deck (BYO alcohol or buy at cost). Dock 6:30pm. Hotel drop-off included.

Pricing is per-charter, not per-person. The boat is yours — bring up to 16 guests and the price stays the same. All taxes, fuel, and crew gratuities included.

40m sailing yacht, 4 cabins (rest area), 5 crew, lunch + drinks + transfers. From IDR 18,000,000 per charter (~USD 1,150). Up to 12 guests.
Phinisi Day-Cruise Luxury
50m yacht, premium catering, dedicated host, paddleboards + kayak + drone shoot. From IDR 32,000,000 per charter (~USD 2,050). Up to 16 guests.
Sunset Cruise (3hr)
Shorter option: 4pm–7pm. Welcome canapés, drinks, sailing the south coast. From IDR 9,000,000 per charter. Up to 12 guests.
Three Standard Day Routes
Captain confirms route the morning of based on swell forecast and your guest mix.
Nusa Penida — Manta Day
Best May–October. Manta Point or Manta Bay (snorkel with manta rays — they migrate through here). Crystal Bay for reef. Kelingking beach photo stop.
Lembongan — Reef + Mangrove
Best year-round. Mangrove paddle, Devil’s Tear viewpoint, and Mushroom Bay for swimming. Calmer water than Penida.
Bali South Coast
Best when swell is large. Coast along Bali’s south, anchor off Pandawa or Green Bowl. Less travel time, more on-water relaxation.

What You’ll See on a Bali Day Cruise to Nusa Penida
Our standard Bali day cruise from Benoa Harbor reaches three world-class marine sites within four hours of sailing. The captain decides the order each morning based on swell and tidal current. Here is what makes each one worth the journey.
Manta Point — The Highlight (May–November)
Manta Point on the southwest tip of Nusa Penida is one of only six known reef-manta cleaning stations in Indonesia. During peak season we see 3 to 12 reef mantas on every visit, gliding through 20–30m visibility while smaller cleaner wrasse remove parasites from their skin. Our snorkel groups stay 60–90 minutes — no diving required to see them. The site is shallow (8–14m) and current-protected on most days.
Crystal Bay — Year-Round Reef
Sheltered cove on Penida’s northwest with white sand beach and the most consistent Bali boat charter snorkel site. Visibility stays 20m+ year-round. Reef life includes scorpionfish, sea turtles, octopus, and the legendary mola mola (sunfish) that surface July–September. Calmer than Manta Point and better for first-time snorkelers and children.
Kelingking Beach — The Photo Stop
The T-Rex shaped limestone cliff that made Penida famous on Instagram. We anchor at the base of the cliff and you tender ashore for the photo, or stay aboard and shoot it from the water for an angle 90% of visitors never get. Best light is 9–11am before the sun moves overhead.
When to Book Your Bali Day Cruise
Bali Strait weather is reliable but seasonal. Here is the calendar we share with every guest who asks “when is the best time for a day cruise from Bali?”
May–October (Dry Season)
Calmest seas, peak visibility, and the full manta season. Daily departures, prices are standard. Best months for first-time charterers.
July–August (Peak)
Highest demand — book 3–4 weeks ahead for premium vessels. Prices +15–20%. The Bali boat rental market peaks here.
November–March (Wet Season)
Afternoon squalls possible. We schedule day cruises 8am–4pm to beat the weather. Prices –10–15%, fewer crowds at every site, beautiful low-light photography.
